Our Story

LBBF Law Firm traces its origins to a small notarial practice in Centro, Mandaue City, Cebu. Established on November 15, 2016, the firm was founded by Atty. Miguel Lumapas and Atty. Paul Blanco with an initial focus on notarial services and general legal assistance.

Atty. Lumapas previously held a legal position with the M Lhuillier Group of Companies, while Atty. Blanco brought extensive experience in operations management and litigation from his work with Nico Security Agency. Their complementary backgrounds provided the foundation for the firm’s early growth and expansion into broader areas of legal practice.

In 2017, Atty. John Michael Fiel joined the firm, strengthening its legal capabilities and contributing to the development of its transactional and litigation practice. In 2018, Atty. Jo Borbajo became a partner, bringing prior experience from both the M Lhuillier Group of Companies and Atup Law Firm. During this period, the firm expanded its operations and established a second branch at the Qimonda Building, North Reclamation Area—strategically located near the Cebu City Hall of Justice.

The firm’s practice continued to grow with the addition of senior associates operating across key locations in Cebu. These include offices in Cebu City I.T. Park, Carcar City, Mandaue City, and Liloan, enabling the firm to provide accessible legal services throughout the province. The presence of multiple senior associates has strengthened the firm’s capacity to handle real estate, corporate, litigation, and transactional matters across jurisdictions.

As of 2024, LBBF Law Firm maintains five branches located at Qimonda I.T. Center (near the Cebu City Hall of Justice), Insular Square Mandaue City, Mandaue City Hall, Cebu City I.T. Park, and Liloan City Hall. The firm is supported by a team of senior and junior associates, together with dedicated administrative staff, allowing it to manage a wide range of legal matters efficiently and professionally.
